Für Elise
Since her fathers death, Elise (Jasna Fritzi Bauer) lives alone with her mother Betty (Christina Große). As a nurse, Betty saves the lifes of others, but her own is falling to pieces.
Betty’s search for a new partner brings one disappointment after another, which she tries to escape through alcohol, parties and one-night stands. As Betty increasingly loses her grip, Elise keeps the household together and is forced to grow up fast.
When Betty meets Ludwig (Hendrik Duryn), a fellow single parent, she believes she has found the ideal partner. Elise is initially wary of him. But longing for the affection and warmth her mother cannot give her, she gradually draws closer to Ludwig.
Betty is in love with Ludwig, but he does not love her. Meanwhile, the bond between him and Elise grows ever stronger. Suddenly, mother and daughter find themselves rivals for Ludwig’s love.
